If you are line manager who wants to adopt a collaborative
and consultative management style of managing people, then client
centred consulting is for you.
Many managers and leaders, from first line supervisor
to MD, have already used the programme as an essential part of their
professional development.
Our client-centred consulting programme was originally
developed for people who facilitate change without formal authority.
Very soon, however, it became apparent that managers and leaders,
at the cutting edge of organisational change, need exactly the same
skills as the client centred consultant.
The most effective leaders recognise the need to
manage people in a way that increases their enthusiasm, commitment
and motivation. This means:
- Seeing themselves as agents of change
- No longer relying on formal position power
- Being concerned with releasing energy and developing
people
- Taking a facilitating role, supporting self-managed
teams
- Becoming an effective coach
- Working non-prescriptively, helping people to
solve problems and make decisions for themselves
- Encouraging a culture of feedback and open communication
- Working hard to reduce dependency amongst their
people
Some organisations have sent line managers on our
open Client-Centred Consulting Programme. Others have used
the principles of client-centredness as the basis of their
internal leadership training and development.

Consulting as a development vehicle for Senior Managers read

the Organisation.
